BC Struggles Through Back-to-Back Losses to Olympic Club
BC faced off against Olympic Club twice in one week with a pair of Friday night games which featured a highly-talented, efficient O.Club offense and “less-than-exemplary” performances from BC. Barbary fell short in each game, losing 9-6 and 11-6, respectively. In a sullen turn of events, BC is presently challenged to ride-out this season’s low-point, 3 straight losses, and double-digit injuries in the hope of keeping their record above .500.
Despite internal obstacles, BC has been challenged to match the 2017 Olympic Club team – among the best the Club has fielded in several seasons. OC’s deep bench, relentless ride, and methodical offense has significantly slowed BC’s transition-based, run-and-gun style of play. Definitely the NCLA’s ‘team-to-beat’ this season, Olympic Club is dialed in and looking like the playoff favorite in Northern California.
Next up for BC is a second shot at Marin Lacrosse Club, next Friday (5/12) at Beach Chalet Fields at 8:00 pm.
